What is an EIP Card?

An EIP Card is a debit card that will be preloaded with the qualifying funds. If you received an EIP Card before, your funds will not go directly onto your old EIP Card. In fact, if you received an EIP card before you might receive a paper check this stimulus and vice versa. There is no way to request whether you would prefer an EIP Card or paper check.

You can use your EIP Card for everyday purchases, paying bills, withdrawing cash at ATMs, and even transferring funds into your primary bank account.

Do I need to file my taxes in order to get a stimulus check?

To verify your qualifying income, you must have filed your 2019 or 2020 taxes in order to receive a third stimulus check. Filing your taxes will also give you the opportunity to update bank account information and expedite the processing of your direct payment.

Is this the last stimulus check?

There are no current bills in process for a fourth stimulus payment, but the latest stimulus bill included many economic aid programs that were put in place to create long-term relief for individuals who make $75,000 or less, couples and families with children who make $150,000 or less.

One of the long-term programs included in the coronavirus relief bill is the Child Tax Credit which will pay $3000 annual payment per child to parents of children aged 6 – 17 and a $3,600 per child payment for children under the age of 6.
